Aluminum Newel Posts

RailPro provides a wide variety of sizes and styles of newel posts to accent your rail. The use of the newel post can make a powerful visual impact on your railing. All of our newel posts are made from aluminum and do not rot, unlike wood newel posts.

We have aluminum newel posts that range in size from 2 1/2" all the way up to 12". Typically, newel posts 10" and larger are used as columns in applications like rail fencing.

Newel Post Styles

There are 3 different styles of newel posts based on the face design of the post

Federal Newel Posts - These newel posts have flat surfaces
Traditional Newel Posts - These newel posts have vertical lines or flutes on the surface
Plantation Newel Posts - These newel posts have an indent on the surface

Federal Newel Posts - 2 1/2", 3", 4", 6", 8", 10"

Newel Post Caps

There are several styles of newel post caps available

Pyramid Newel Post Caps - 2 1/2", 3", 4"
Flat Top Newel Post Caps - 4", 6", 8", 10", 12"
Dome Newel Post Caps - 6", 8", 10", 12"

Retrofitting Existing Deck Posts

If you are remodeling an existing deck and you have 4x4 wood posts or columns, you now have the option of leaving these in place and cladding them with our 4x4 Traditional posts. These posts can easily sleeve over a 4x4 wood post.

This style can also be provided up to 12' long in 2 snap together parts to cad any 4x4 wood columns you may have on your deck supporting a roof or upper deck. It provides a beautiful way to complete your deck remodel.
